Vintage Nephrite Jade & Diamond heart earrings

• Each piece measures 2cm x 1.7cm.

Jade is one of the oldest gemstones, with a history dating over 7000 years. In 1863 a Frenchman, Alexis Damour, discovered that the material known as "jade" could be divided into two different minerals: jadeite and nephrite. Jade is a durable, colorful material, the principal sources of nephrite are Canada, China, and Russia.
