An amazing late Victorian period 18 carat gold ring set with two oval Austrailian opals and nine old cut diamonds. The ring is hallmarked for Birmingham and the year 1904. There is an engraving on the inner shank for the year 1905.
The old cut diamonds are about .40 of a carat in total, SI1 to Si2 in quality and H in color. The opals measure about 8.5 mm by 5 mm.
This is a special ring, everything about it looks and feels just right. The ring is in very good condition.
