Vintage 14 carat gold ring with cabochon cut star diopside
A vintage 14 carat rose and yellow gold ring set with a large cabochon cut star diopside - a black to greenish black stone that displays a star shape under bright light. The white star can be easily seen against the dark diopside body color and the asterism displayed is quite unique, in that it exhibits four rays (other star gemstones feature six-ray asterism). Star diopside's rays are slightly wavy and they are not at 90° right angles.
The ring size is 19.50 mm, the size can be modified if necessary.
The oval gemstone measures 20 mm by 17 mm. The ring weighs 12.1 grams.
The ring is in good overall condition.
