A 19th century Victorian antique 9ct rose and yellow gold sweetheart brooch with ivy leaves and flowers, it has a little glass compartment in the back. All hallmarks for 9 ct, 375 ct gold, Birmingham, date letter "S" for 1892, maker A&Co (for Asprey & Co). The use of ivy in Victorian jewelry stood for everlasting love, marriage, eternal faithfulness and friendship. A very sweet brooch that would make a lovely meaningful present.
